"St. Zlata Meglenska" Church, located in the Sabotsko municipality in Meglen, Greece, has entered the history of the Macedonian minority in Aegean Macedonia. As Radio Deutsche Welle reports, a Macedonian language religious service was allowed to take place for the first time without any interference from Greek authorities. Archimandrite Nikodimos Tsarknias called on all Macedonians to take part in the reconstruction of the recently dedicated church and announced other religious services in the Macedonian language, which until now had been something entirely unimaginable in Greece.
